Half of all women can expect to experience hair loss

The news is in — and it isn’t good. The latest studies suggest that 50 per cent of women will experience hair loss by the time they celebrate their 65th birthday.

Not much of a present, obviously.

Experts suggest most hair loss will first be seen on the crown, where the part will appear to be wider.

While stress, poor diet and demanding hair styling routines play a factor, there’s no getting around the negative impact of time. To learn more about the first signs of hair loss in women, and the emotional impacts, click here.

The best advice? If you notice your hair is thinning, talk to your doctor about it ASAP. A speedy intervention is your best course of action.
